Mother Terasa College of Physiotherapy provides students with a comprehensive list of features and facilities to cater to our students' learning needs and comfort during their years with us.   • Anatomy Lab

    The college maintains laboratory for anatomy offering state of the art facilities to the students in mastering the knowledge of the human body. The students are guided into the intricacies of anatomy with enormous facility. This is backed up by the variety of specimens, model & computer aided learning, which completes the picture.

  • Physiology Lab

    College has well equipped lab to study the intricacies of function of the body and to teach the students regarding the various biochemical, electrophysiological analysis using sophisticated instruments.

  • Exercise Therapy lab

    Exercise Therapy lab is equipped with all latest equipments which are used to rehabilitate the patient. It is equipped with facilities of gait re-education unit, strength training unit, balance and posture rehab unit, movement therapy unit. Different exercise techniques are demonstrated in the lab and the students are encouraged to practice these different techniques on each other and gain confidence in performing theses skills. Students also are prepared to educate patients and families, to promote fitness, health and quality of life in all age groups. Exercise therapy uses specific stylized movements to improve the way the body functions. It focuses on moving the body and its different parts to relieve symptoms and improve mobility – and off course levels of fitness. You can use exercise therapy for the prevention and management of pain and wellness. The lab is equipped with equipments like

  • Electrotherapy Lab

    Electrotherapy includes a range of treatments using electricity to reduce pain, improve circulation, repair tissues, strengthen muscles, and promote bone growth, leading to improvements in physical functioning. Electrotherapy has been used to address chronic pain and chronic fatigues in general, as well as the spacious and well-ventilated lab in the college provide students a learning environment so they can improve their skills.   • Gait Lab (Walking School)

    Walking school available for students becomes versatile in gait training and also physiotherapy examination, prognosis, and intervention. Skills include alleviating patients' movement impairments and functional limitations by designing, implementing and modifying therapeutic interventions to help patients return to function. Walking school consists of
    Mats and Tables which height allows simulation of treatment area.
    Ambulation devices such as crutches, walkers, canes, stepper unit and wheelchairs assist patients with movement in their own environment.
    Models of orthoses and prostheses are available for students to understand their function and appropriate use.
    Exercise equipment includes benches, free weights, cuff weights, total gym, trampoline, bicycles and treadmills.

  • Neuro – Rehab Lab

    The college is running Neuro Developmental therapy and Sensory Integration Unit for the Cerebral Palsy and other exceptional children inside the campus. The college is serving these children purely on a charitable basis.

  • Audio – Visual

    The college has multi-media system with computer facilities for the students for effective learning. It is equipped with

  • Library

    Each Institution has a well equipped and a comprehensive library, which offers students with all the reference material, they require for an in-depth understanding of their specific subjects. The library also subscribes for journals on the relevant subjects.

  • Digital Library

    The library has a separate digital section which provides all kinds of digital resources and online journals in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

  • Computer Lab

    Computer Centre provides the students with hands on experience in state-of-the-art technology. The college has well equipped computer lab with Pentium based computers and latest software required for teaching and research.

  • Transport

    The college provides the conveyance for the students coming from in and around Pudukkottai & Neighboring district. College takes the students to the hospital for clinic training.

  • Hostel

    Complete, hygienic and fully furnished hostel is provided by the management for both Boys and Girls separately with in the campus. The rooms are safe, secure, clean and airy. Students enjoy delicious, quality and homely vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Menu is prepared to satisfy the taste of all students. Their stay in the hostel enables them to imbibe a different life style and involve in activities such as yoga, meditation, sports etc., suiting to their individual taste and preferences.

  • Canteen

    The homely atmosphere and aroma of delicious food permeates the air as they eat, drink and chat. It remains a focal place of the students for rest and refreshment.

  • Sports

    Apart from the academics they are given activities in sports and games and they are also taught about training and management of sports injuries. In addition, they are motivated to exhibit their talent in sports and games. This facilitates them to take part and excel in the intercollegiate and university sports meets.
